Je vous retransmets un message du hollandais VDB, ex-champion du monde F3D 2009.

Dear Racing friends,

First of all I would like to thank all racers coming to our world championships and being our guests at Deelen for a faboulous World Championschip. Congatulations to all the racers who went home with all the precious metal and those who went home with a good feeling. My feel good moment was ofcourse the support Elias got from all to fix his car. That moment his car arrived I was watching from a distance, couldn't run that fast , made me realise again that we are all friends and I am proud to be one of you.

I am also proud of our dutch workers under direction of Rob and Arno who made it possible. Thanks guys. a little late, but just wanted to say this.

Race sites,

At this moment we are almost at the end of the European racing season which will end a little sooner than expected with the cancelation of the Ballenstead Race. The cancelation of Ballenstead and the lack of support for the Sisiano race made me realize Eurocup racing in F3d but also Q40 and F3R (Q500) needs some management in race date planning and publication.
We must be very carefull with the clubs and contest directors willing to organise our races. The good news is that Sweden and Great Brittain are interrested in organising a race and Deelen will be on the racing kalender soon.
So with Siziano Melnik and Tours and ..... , Nancy and Tongeren we can give a club a break a year.

Next question is do we want separate F3D, F3R , F3T races or do we them combined like Ballenstedt did. If you have ever been to the Brittisch Nationals you will know what a special event that can be if all modeling diciplines are united on one airbase for a weekend.

Time sceduling of the races.

One of the problems of the lack of competitiors to Ballenstead and Sisiano could be the planning of races on two consecutive weekends although this was historicaly done for the competitors comming from oversees so they could make two race weekends in one trip.
We need to know if this is still nessasary with al the low cost airlines beating the boat trips by far. My opinion is we need around 4 weeks between the races of one class and we can fit the other classes inbetween. One thing is clear it needs our attention.
Worldcup iso Eurocup

My long time wish is to have worldcup racing in F3D, R and T and with the rules for these classes laid out now by FAI the next move is to introduce a worldcup. That means we need to think about a scoring system. My idea is to make some sort of point system where we score points for qualification rounds fast time semi final and final points. we can even make a b final for those who are just outside the top twelve. But thats just a thought. Also weighing the competition to the number and strenght of the competitiors entered could be considered but on the other hand that might make races with low entries les favorite to go to which is an unwanted side effect. Two separate day events in one race weekend with in the morning qualifying rounds and in the afternoon semies and finals could doubble the amount of races... and ofcourse manny other possiblities.
For the Worldcup we could make a rolling calculation based on the last 8 race results. Or stick to a yearly calculation. Giving the final race doubble points we can make huge final races at the end of the season and have that final race hosted by different clubs every year.

A mission impossible...

.... is being the nr one pylon light man and judge at the same time. No need to explain as we all have been at nr one and fooled bu the racers ;-0

Proposal: have a team member doing the signaling and the judge only the judging

Finally concreet question because we need to make an secedule for next years international races before we put up our national callenders.
So,

Who wants to host a Eurocup race next year.

I am aiming at 4 Eurocups for f3d and 4 Eurocups for F3R/T (Q40 /Q500)
Start lobbying now because before we know its November when FAI needs dates.

Go Fast and spead the word.
